I studied at Bath Academy of Art in the early ‘70s, gaining a Diploma in Art and Design specialising in ceramics but it wasn’t until the early 90’s that I started to paint, having had a family.
Over the past few years, I have specialised mainly in land and waterscapes, the majority of which I paint in acrylics. This medium suits my style of working as I like to work fast and sometimes for long periods of time while in the creating mood.
In many of my later paintings I have introduced texture, which I think enhances the viewing experience.
