Helen has had many solo exhibitions and commissions and sold her work extensively. Her work is owned by a relative of the Royal Family. Helen has written "Rock Pools & Sunshine", the biography of the Impressionist Artist Dorothea Sharp, R.B.A., R.O.I., V.P.S.W.A.
This was researched and written whilst Helen's five children were growing up and took her 18 years to complete. In between she studied, part-time, for seven years at University.
The book, "Rock Pools & Sunshine", was launched at Hever Castle in Kent, the childhood home of Anne Boleyn. Helen has also written and illustrated several children's books.
She worked as an art tutor for North Yorkshire Adult Education for almost 30 years and still teaches independently.
She has a B.A. (Hons) Degree and an M.A. Helen is married and, in addition to her five children, now has three adorable grandchildren who give her endless inspiration for her paintings.
