Hilary Burt came to the club and gave a brief introduction to the art of wire sculpture, after which she (unwisely?) handed out lengths of wire and mesh to those members present, who set about their tasks with a will, armed only with tin snips, pliers and, in most cases, their bare hands.

There was a great deal of huffing and puffing, and one or two outer garments were shed as the temperature rose, but in the end everyone managed to produce .... well, something.

It is rumoured that some of these items already decorate their proud “manufacturer’s” gardens!
