Exhibitions
Each year we hold two exhibitions at Ripley Town Hall. One in the spring and the other in the autumn. These exhibitions give members the opportunity to showcase their framed paintings, unframed mounted pictures, limited edition prints and greetings cards. Admission is free and most of the works on display are for sale
Autumn Exhibition November 2023
The Autumn exhibition took place at Ripley Town Hall on the weekend of 25th– 26th November. Artists were allowed 8 framed pictures and 8 mounted ones and there were 274 entries by 37 members, of which 200 were framed and 74 mounted. This was a very good number of entries, much improved on the Spring exhibition, and a big thank you goes to all the artists who participated for making such an effort. The hall was once again almost full to capacity making for an excellent display.
Awards:
This year’s judge for the Artist’s Choice trophy was Andrew Moodie who chose “View of Washdale Valley” by Ann Walker.
The People’s Choice trophy was won by Trish Nugent for “After the Quake”.
